Break your color with any digital camera of proper white balance must be done. To obtain a proper white balance on the Canon 5D, 20D and 30D, start by switching on the camera and turn in the shooting mode to program.
Put the lens in manual mode and turn the image stabilization off. For studios strobes, keep the camera in manual. Attach the expodisc to the front of the lens and take picture directly at your light source.
For the 5D, push the menu button and scroll down to the custom white balance. Push the set button, select the picture that was just taken with the expodisc, press the menu button. Next press the auto focus white balance button and change the white balance to custom on the top display.
In the 1D camera menu, select the custom white balance option. Hold down the select button and scroll to the picture taken with the expodisc. After selecting your image, press the white balance below the LCD to select the custom white balance option.
