How to Makes Vanilla Cupcakes with Chef Phil Vickery

Here’s another simple recipe. It’s the vanilla cupcakes. Now from start to finish about 30
minutes. So ingredients, here we got one egg, plain flour, margarine, baking powder,
vanilla extract, icy sugar and Carnation condensed milk. Alright the first thing to do,
flour into a bowl to that we can add one egg, there it goes, baking powder goes in,
margarine goes in as well, half a teaspoon of vanilla extract, like that and roughly half a
can of condensed milk. Whisk the whole lot together.

Just like that and then with a spatula just mix it in the and mix it from the outside with a
flour. Now bake them in a preheated oven 180 degree centigrade gas for 15 and 18
minutes. The cupcakes are now cooked once they’re cooling you can make the frosting.
We got some margarine, to that I’m going add icy sugar, there it goes, with half a
teaspoon of vanilla extract. And to that I’m going to add one tablespoon of condensed
milk and then just bring that whole lot together with a spatula.

And there it is perfect, I put my icing in a packing bag like this which is a little bit chefy
really but you just use a fork or a spoon it’s up to you and then decorate them however
you want. So here I’m going to make a little tiny rosette of the icing on top of the bun in a
lump so probably the center, around you go and then twist off. It will give you a perfect
rosette. Rub in center, around you go and then twist off. And also some little bits here,
some little tiny sugar flowers. We can use edible glitter it’s really up to you or some
different colors.

Here I got some lovely little hearts; they can go on as well or even tiny sugar balls it’s up
to you. Now decorate them how you like. And get the kids to give you a hand and there
