Lisa Quinn: Alicia and Robin’s nursery is finally complete but before I show you how
adorable and I mean adorable it is right now let’s take a long last look at the way
the room look at the beginning of the show. If you remember well it’s not a
nursery at all, the room was being used storage and Daddy Robin’s home office
but baby’s on the way so we have to make room and check out what we did. This
room is so cute, I love the Robin and Alicia wanted a really bright look if you
remember in fact this painting right behind me was the inspiration for the whole
room. They bought in the Mexico and they’ve love and they want to wrap the
whole room around it and I think we did a great job of doing this.
First and foremost the paint color, we pulled it straight from this penny. It was a
dingy beige yellowy kind of color before but now we decided to bring in this
bright sunny yellow from Kelly More Paints, Joe from Varsity Painting as always
came in to the fantastic job to fill on those holes in they can everything looks
pretty clean and the paint job is fantastic so all the furnishing they needed
everything that really being use for storage and office and they needed all sorts for
furniture and that’s exactly what we are able to do from. This crib is not only cute
but it transfer into toddler bed so it will grow with the child. You will see that this
is a theme, also over here we’ve got the changing table which is you know it will
change in a lot of divers when you have a baby so this is great but it grows with
the child when they’re no longer and diapers you just take this top off and it’s a
fantastic chest of drawers for even extra storage we decided to bring in this
hinnies armor, what I love about it is not baby size so you could hang on this for
years to come fantastic storage in this particular unit. Baby is sometimes is cry at
night and you need to rock them to sleep so we decided to bring this firm little
rocker doesn’t take up a whole lot of space and it looks really cute in the room
and mom is going to need it. We also decided to replace the whole nasty light
picture that was in on top of the room before and just brought in this smart little
number out here.
As far as color another great thing that I like here is they coordinate everything so
we we’re able to pull in all this different patterns and all this different colors but
because they coordinate it works really well. We flank the windows with this
beautiful lash orange build that curtains and we’ve got rid of those middle gross
venetian blinds we’re place in with this wooden ones which is really adds a lot of
sophistication to the space. We we’re very lucky this week the home owners had a
lot of fabulous artworks so we just use the artwork what they have and if you
remember Daddy Robin have an octopus collection and guest what we are able to
incorporate that into the room as well. So now we do we pull together a nice fun
look for the baby but I think we are able the sort of reflect the whole personality
of the family in this room too. I hope so, I love the way it looks but let’s find out
with mom thinks and we are bringing in right now. Okay come on in.
Alicia: Oh that’s amazing, come on it looks great.
Lisa Quinn: Yeah, really?
Alicia: Yes.
Lisa Quinn: Alright, take a look we got a lot of different stuff in here. A lot of bright color we
got a rocking chair for mom or dad you never know who’s going to be at night.
You will notice on the other octopus we brought in?
Robin: Yes, nice.
Lisa Quinn: You had a whole lot more space in here than I thought maybe in your thoughts
and you know it’s a really nice size room. Changing table, all the necessities this
bed turns into a toddler bed which is a good thing too. It really all started with the
painting, the painting is fantastic and we are going to pull every single color into
the room and I think it work out really well. They’re fun right?
Alicia: Everything so flash and fun and great.
