Hi. Welcome to Rhodes Video recipe Box. My name is Amy and today, we’re making a Yummy Mummy. You’ll need one loaf of Rhodes frozen bread dough but you want it thawed and risen, and you’re going to press it out and roll it out into this large triangle shape and you want the corners rounded.
So you’re just going to get it all pressed out and then what you want to do is take your knife and don’t cut into it but just make a little mark and you want a triangle right in the center and this will help you to keep a space for your pizza toppings. So, I’m just going to make my mark right there, trying not to cut into it. And then what you want to do is you want to take your pizza toppings, and I’ve got some pizza sauce here and I’m just kind of put into the center where my triangle mark is and you can use whatever kind of pizza toppings you want.
So, we’re going to use some pepperonis, just spread them all across the middle and some olives and then sprinkle it with some juice. And then you want to take your knife and you‘re going to make some slits to form the body and you’re going to make one, a large diagonal one right at the top for the head, one on that side and then evenly right on the other side and then for the shoulders, you’re going to do one next to it and then on the opposite side. And then you want to keep making slits right down the loaf of bread but don’t cut into the pizza sauce and don’t go all the way through. And then you want them to match up on the other side so right across on the other side, okay.
Now, for the center one, you want to take this piece and you want to just tuck the edges under where you’ve cut and this is going to form your head. You can roll the top under a little bit and just kind of round the sides and then these side pieces are going to be the shoulder so you want to leave them a little bit out to kind of give in some shoulders and then you’re just going to crisscross over the top, just braid all the way down. You want to kind of tuck and press on some of your pieces to keep all your pizza ingredients inside. And the when you get down to the bottom, you want to roll your bottom one up a little bit and these are going to be your feet.
So after you get them rolled up, you want to kind of form some little balls at the bottom and kind of press that in so it doesn’t come apart, press the dough then you’re going to take your scissors and make a little slit right in the middle and you can kind of open it up a little bit more to give in some feet, then if you want to play with the head a little bit more, you an. You can push it down a little bit and just reshape it.
I’m going to spray my baking sheet with some non-stick cooking spray, just real carefully lifting up onto the sheet. Once you get it onto the pan, you want to brush it with some beaten egg, so I’m just going to take my brush and spread this egg all across it, okay and then you want to let this rise for about 15 to 30 minutes. And I’ve got one that’s ready to come out of the oven so you can see what it looks like once it's been baked and this will be so fun for dinner or for a Halloween party.
