How to Make Your Videos HD Using Camtasia Studio
Hello, YouTube. Today, I’m going to show you guys how to get high definition videos, how to make your own videos high definition to appear where it is watching high definition link. So I’m going to show you guys how to make an HD and the first thing you’re going to need is you got to Google and type in quicktime.
Go to apple.com and make you sure you download QuickTime 7, just wait and click free download. It’s free. If you want to get the full version you got to buy it. Anyway, once you’ve done that you want to click on Batch production and you want to click Add Files and Projects. You want to select any AVI or any files that are AVI-MOV. It says right here AVI, just make sure it’s Mpeg and all that stuff. If it works, that’s great. I got an example video and if you don’t have a video I guess you got to download an AVI video just for now.
Once you’ve done that just click next and it’s going to ask, it’s going to go to this page or this settings. What you want to do is click on Preset Manager and you want to click on New, for this example. We’re clicking new because we’re going to make a new preset. It’s much easier, so where it says preset name just type in YouTube HD and I’m just going to put two because I already mine. Right you want to select MOV QuickTime Movie, make sure it’s that and make sure you’ve downloaded this or it’s going to pop a message up saying it’s not going to work because you don’t have the proper installations.
So yeah, just make sure its MOV QuickTime Movie and click next. Alright, what you want to do now is click on QuickTime Options. You want to click on Settings, make sure your compression type is H.264 Motion. Make sure your frame rate is 30. Make sure your key frame is automatic, your quality set to best and just click okay.
Go to size, Dimensions, make sure it’s 1280x720HD. That’s YouTube’s new dimension, so just select that and just click OK and hit it. Now, go to set where is the sound, go to settings, make sure it’s Mpeg for audio, you rate, click that and make sure it’s 48.
Use, make sure it’s stereo and just click okay and click okay and click next. Your custom size, this is where you put your video size so whatever video you upload to Camtasia Studio, make sure it’s that size of or if you don’t know just put in 1280x720. It’s going to work but it’s not going to be full screen. A lot of people don’t get that. So if you have a video that is 640x480, you have to write that down because if you don’t know just put 1280x720 but I’m going to put this number right here because this is my screen recorded. This is my full screen because I’m recording my full screen and this is the size of my screen and I just like it like that. But if you guys don’t understand just put 1280x720 and you’ll still get the HD but you might not get full screen.
So I’m just going to put, alright so once you’ve set your custom size, click next. Now here is where every one has been asking me how do I add a little icon on your videos. Well, it’s called Watermark just click Include watermark and click Options. Alright, now this is going to pop up.
You want to click where it say image path. There is a little folder there which is the browse button, click on that, select any image you like, right it’s good. Don’t make it too transparent. I mean then it won’t show that much, so I like it 75% and my image scale is about 15 or 16. I’m going to go for 16.
Your position, make it anywhere you’d like, so alright. So once you’re done just click finish and I’m going to close it right now. Once you close it, it should be saved so if you import a media, click import media, put your video in and start editing, just drag it to the timeline, start editing.
Now this is going to pop up, make sure you select your preset, so this is the YouTube HD2 there you go, see that that’s the one I just created click on it and click okay. And see what I mean when I’m saying it’s full screen. It fits my whole screen because when I record, I want everyone to see my full screen. I don’t want it to show any borders or anything like that.
So once you're done editing you want to click produce video as you want to select your YouTube preset that you’ve just created. So remember when I made my YouTube HD/ alright, so once you’re done, click next. It’s going to say Production Name, just name it. I’m going to name for example, folder where you want it to put it in and just click next.
So this is what it has to be right here, just copy that except the size. Size might be different than mine depending on what video yours is but probably everyone that’s watching this video is going to probably set it to 1280x700 which is YouTube’s regular size. So click finish and it’s going to render the project and you just have to wait here this is where you have to wait. So just give that some time.
Alright guys, so once this is done it’s going to bring it back to Camtasia Studio six so you just minimized it. There is my video, its example. If you right click, go to properties. You’re going to see that it’s MOV, make sure it’s MOV file and I’m using the VLC media player. It’s a really good media player.
I recommend you guys downloading it. It’s for free so, just double click the example video and wait for it to load. So there it is, this is my example video, there you go. So now all I have to do is upload this to YouTube so just I go to the YouTube video upload and select browse. Find your videos and there it is the example and make sure it’s the MOV version and click open, click upload video, it’s going to ask the title I’m just going to say “Example” description “Just example” tags “Example” strategy. I don’t know “Science and Technology” and just click save changes.
And so you just have to wait for it to load if you don’t know how to upload. So yeah, that’s basically it. That’s how I do my high definition and it works, if it does not work for you just tell me and I will try to help you out again. So this video that I just made right now is should be on high definition. If it’s not then I did this video wrong. Thank you guys for watching, please wait for my other videos and peace.
