Smile is really program to make a slideshows. So this is how it looks like when you open it and let me see here. You have to create a new project, so we going to do one. And I’ll put in on whatever photo you want and at the output if you are—you know in the European areas or Japan you use PAL. Now they have a standard here in widescreen for PAL. I don’t know why they don’t have a—you know, they have NTSC for like North America standard here but they don’t have a wide, I don’t know why but so much like that one for standard, okay?
So we have a new project here. Now you can load in pictures here. So I’m going to load in some pictures. I don’t know why but you can't highlight all pictures you want. All you have to do is singularly, so you have to click on it and hold Ctrl like this. You can either drag it down or you can do this, you know right click on it and import. Or the other ways is just to drag this out into the timeline down here and you see you have it down here. So that’s how you do it.
After that we just close that part out. So we have other stuff here. Like I said before you can use the video clip still if you want. I don’t really recommend that video clips they only the JPEGs of the video and it doesn’t look that good. But if you want to do that you can do that. Now with the slideshow there’s always music associate with it. So you want to add in your own music. Just right click on this timeline here or the project here had all your track and just like for your mp3 or whatever the hell you’re using you can use that one. Open and you can see that that one is playing our song, okay?
Now as part of this program you can do is some with it like let me see and you see side of like a toolbar X of the exposition Y and this Z is like rotation and this thing that’s right here is like zooming. So let me show you what it does. So this one is the exposition, right? What the fuck? Oh, Y you know flipping and Z if you like to rotation like this. Look its pretty hard to control this shit. And this is the--what is this? Is diagonal and this the zoom, so you zooming them up and so that’s what they got, you know?
You can do key frames with that. Let me show you. Let’s say you want it too, see normally we run like this, okay and they’ll do nothing. And it just skips the next page all right but if you want to do like of the effects, first you have to start it out to find the first key point, so click on the shit first. First you select the picture, click on the green shit and then do some and let’s say you want to flip it or I mean the Y position like this rather. And after that you hit on the red one and it should save the key frame. So when you play them now this should do the animation of we just did.
So that’s what you do can with that and you can do the same thing, you know but you have to use the flag here. The start point and the end point, okay? Also that’s one thing and what is this one. Click on this, this is one is come at patterns; you can have some patterns here. So let me get one and let’s get to start one here, okay? I can do the stars that’s here on the side. You can change colors and everything like here if you want. Now you need to erase it and you have the eraser but let me do some, there, there, okay that looks okay. Also that’s what we get. Let’s say we want to move the images too. So let’s define the first point and let’s say we do the zooming move that zooming like that. Or make it like bigger or something, right? Now I zoom smaller and then end point.
So let’s see how this looks like and there we go. All right, that’s pretty girl. And you can do some other stuff over here also like—let’s say you want transitions now you know. So you just click on this image and you want cross fade that’s the only one they have. It’s pretty much here. So next when you’re done with the image let me see this one, right? You see there’s a little cross fade there.
You can do a text also I believe or some animation, some other effects here. So let’s say this picture here, all right? Let me go back to that one make it shrink. That’s zooming when there you go. Well let’s say they have—what the hell is this is? They have fucking hearts here or snow, flowers and teddy bears and shit. As I am going to fully gay and I use the hearts, all right! And I do the size up I get it turned the size up. Oh, there you go. So that’s another thing you can do.
You can also do text. Let me show you guys I’ll show you text obviously here. The title here and so you put in my saved data. All right, if you can see that. Let me turn up the size here 72, so I think you can see that. Let me change the colors so that you can see like maybe blue save blue and maybe opacity so you can see that, all right? That’s pretty cool. So that’s some of these you can do with this program and it’s pretty easy. You know it’s just point click, like it’s not that hard. So let’s say we play this, so yeah it looks like, oh, okay that was cool and gets the hearts shit, all right?
Now if you satisfied with that all of your stuff, we can go and render it now. All right there’s render button here. And I give it a name whatever you want and what else here—they have MPE2, XVID, DV and Flash. Use the MPEG if you going to do like you have learned two view DVDs or something like that. If you’re now uploading online maybe you should Flash or XVID and DV I’m not really sure about that I usually don’t use that.
Then I will want that to normal and high. The first one I want to do normal and that’s pretty much it, hit start and should start rendering it. I see that was great out right here and just wait until it’s done. All right, so it’s encoding the project baboom done bitches. Now you can hear the music, can you? Well, that’s cool, all right?
So that’s how you use smile and like I said it’s pretty easy this app is not that hard to use and if you want to do like DVDs or shit like that that’s another program. This one it only does slides shows, all right and you export it to a video format. So you can uploaded it on YouTube or your DVD player whatever the hell it is. And so that is it for Smile.
