Rebecca: Originating in Mexico Nachos is traditionally in tortilla chips covered in melted cheese. Hi! I am Rebecca Bretten and welcome to watchmojo.com. And today we will switching up a bit making the ultimate, ultimate nachos. For this recipe we will need 1 bag of white or yellow tortilla chips, 2 sausages, 1 pound of ground beef, 1 package of taco seasoning, 1 small chopped onion, 1 can of refried beans, 2 cups of salsa, 1 chopped avocado, 2 cups of grated cheese, about 1/3 of a cup of sliced jalapeno peppers, about a half of can of sliced black olives and to serve some sour cream.
And now that sounds like a lot of meat but these are the ultimate nachos. First, preheat the oven to 400 degrees; add the onion and ground beef to a skillet and brown on medium high heat. When the meat is brown add the taco seasoning according to the package which in our case it means adding a cup of water and leaving it to simmer for 5-10 minutes. Now open the sausages, come over into the pan, and cook until done. Now, heat the refried beans according to there package directions, in our case we will be using a microwave to save time. Arrange the tortillas on a cookie sheet or in a casual dish. Layer the beef, sausages, beans, salsa, avocado, cheese, olive and jalapenos on top of the tortillas. If you want to leave one side of your nachos meatless for your vegetarian friends do so. Bake in the oven until the cheese melts which should take about 10 minutes.
Nachos are a snack food and for some reason our especially delicious for watching sports, so draw all this ingredients together, grab a beer, turn on the TV and enjoy.
