So the Wednesday is work if I look across the bar I see this 14 so there are 14 minutes on Wednesday and Thursday if I go across, it’s 10 so there are 10 minutes on Thursday so Wednesday is 14 ten is on Thursday.

So Mrs. Williams is assigned 14 minutes of homework on Wednesday and 10 minutes of homework on Thursday. So, if we want to know how many more minutes of homework she assigns we’re going to take the difference. So we’re going to take 14- 10 and that will give us 4 minutes. So Mrs. Williams assigned four more minutes of homework on Wednesday than she did on Thursday. Let’s take a look at this second problem we have so here we have a stacked bar graph. So, and then we need to answer the question how many girls like basketball. So is that bar graph is a graph that is used to compare parts of a whole.

So in a stacked bar graph we’re looking at parts of a whole. So the bars in a stacked bar graph are divided into categories and each bar represents a whole. So in this given graph each bar is divided into two categories girls and boys. Each of the 3 bars represents a whole so we have basketball, badminton and volleyball as the favorite sports and the reddish color of girls and the pink color are boys.

So if we want to know how many girls like basketball we’re going to look at the basketball category and we’re going to girls which is the redder color. So we’re going to look and the girls only go up to here. So the total number of girls is about its between 10 and 20 but it’s a little over half way so I’m going to say it’s 16 so there are about 16 girls. There are total of about 38 because that is in between 30 and 40 it’s past the 30 and it’s pretty close to 40 so I’m going to say there are 38 total students who like basketball.

So there are about 38 students that like basketball out of which 16 are girls so how many girls like basketball 16 girls out of 38 students.
