Speaker: It’s a Chinese tradition to eat long noodles on New Year’s day ensuring a long healthy life. Try these cold sesame noodles. In a KitchenAid blender add two sliced scallions, a clove of garlic, a tea spoon of fresh ginger root. Two table spoons of soya sauce, hot sauce to taste, one table spoon of sesame oil. One table spoon of rice wine vinegar, one table spoon of sugar. One table spoon of peanut oil, a third of a cup of chunky peanut butter. A third of a cup of sesame seeds, and blend.
Add a quarter cup of cold water to smooth out the sauce. Next, pour the sauce over cold noodles and toss. Garnish with scallions, chopped peanuts and sesame seeds.
