Recipe for prawn biryani, you will need a quarter of a teaspoon of heldi or turmeric powder. Half a teaspoon of red chilli powder, half a teaspoon of coriander powder, half a teaspoon of gram masala powder, one medium sized onion chopped. Half a cup of spring onion chopped, two medium tomatoes chopped, some curry leaves of aribata. One large green chilli, one whole pot of garlic, half a teaspoon of cirah, a few coriander seeds which is optional, 250 grams of prawns, two cups of rice already saute and salt and oil.
You will also need a sprinkle of food coloring which we have mixed in with two tablespoons of milk. We will start off by boiling some water in a pot and adding a few pieces soyed gram masala. Next we will add the already salt rice; meanwhile we will start making the prawn masala. So we are adding some oil to the pot and then adding the coriander seeds. Whenever we make a dish with prawns or fish we add mate seeds to add flavor. Now we will also add the curry leaves of the fiery potter and the cirah and let it crackle the oil. And now add the onions while the onion is cooking we will crush the garlic.
The onions have now become transparent so we will all add the spices. Next we will add the tomatoes; at this state we will add some salt. And this helps the tomato to cook faster and we will cover it up for five minutes. Add some salt to your rice, once the rice is done we can check and then drain it. Spread it out in a dish, after five minutes, uncover it and the masala has dried up a bit. So we will now add the prawns and add the spring onion as well. Now add the garlic and remember not to overcook the prawn, mix around the sweet coloring and sprinkle over the rice.
We have added the garlic in the end as garlic compliments prawn to life. And we will now pull aside this prawn masala until the oil stop showing up. Meanwhile on the rice, just cut little slack into the green chilli and stick the chilli in the rice. Check the salt, this recipe is the same as prawn masala you see you could just have this plain or you could make it in a biryani. Which is what we are going to do today, this is optional and we are sprinkling some lemon juice in the rice. So prawn masala is now ready, you can see the oil is showing up on the top. And now we will layer it in with the rice and put them in the microwave for three minutes and then two minutes.
Crop it and clean and poke some holes, you place them in the microwave for three minutes. After three minutes, take out the biryani from the microwave and we will mix it around a bit. Be sure to be gentle as to do not break the rice and then we will wrap it up again. And now we will put it on the microwave again for another two minutes and take it out when it is ready to be served. Your prawn biryani is now ready to be served, we can serve it now.
