I have been so excited now for weeks knowing that I was going to share this recipe with you all, it’s called a Turducken; I’ve got a turkey, a duck and a chicken. You need to really involve your butcher on this one, because this turkey is semi-boneless. I had the butcher take all the breast bones out, I’ve left the leg bones in and the wing bones because I want him to be able to hold his shape and when I get done I want it to look like I have just a normal whole roasted turkey. I’m just going to sprinkle in with a little bit of my house seasoning and I’m just going to come in here and pat out. A fairly thin coat of stuffing so you want to make your dressing more on the stiff side because this bird is going to produce a lot, a lot of flavor, fat and liquid. Alright now we’re going to take our duck and he is completely boneless. We’re going to do the same thing again and last but not the least, one of favorite things in the whole world is chicken. We’re going to do it so that each person gets some of each, they’ll get the turkey, duck and the chicken. Only one slice and it’s going to be phenomenal. And remember when you worked with raw meat or poultry, you always need to wash your hands thoroughly because you don’t want to spread any bacteria. Oh good Michael, right on time, come on in darling, I may need some help. We’re just going to bring this up just like this and this is a great excuse, girl, to get your husbands in the kitchen with you. Maybe steal a little kiss or two, you think? Alright, now you hold that bird, oh look at here; oh, Mr. Turkey, I’m not a seamstress but hopefully you’ll feel well-dressed when I bring you to the table, there you go. You just got fresh with me, bad boy. I think I want to do a little paprika, do you hear Dixie and Lady Bird out there talking? (I do.) You know what? I think they know its Thanksgiving and they’re really nervous. (I should go show them) Go show them that, no, straighten up won’t they? Alright, stick this in the oven, honey; and oh, don’t burn yourself. I’d like to share a special day in the family tradition with you all and every Thanksgiving we like to play a little poker while we’re waiting on that turkey. You let me see what you got now, won’t you? (Laughter) The clock is up on it to jerking; I just cut the oven off. Oh, you all, it smells so incredibly delicious. I can’t leave you in suspense any longer, or me. And it was relatively easy because, remember, I let the butcher do most of the work. Look, you can see over this steam is just pouring off of him; you can see the turkey, you can see the stuffing, and then you can see the duck and then right in the very center, you can see the chicken. Alright now, listen; now, let’s put this bird back together because my family is expecting me to call them in the table any minute.
