How to Make HD Quality videos with Camtasia Studio.
Hi guys, welcome to GeekcompNERD’s computer Zone show. Today we’re going to be talking about how you can get an HD quality videos made in Camtasia Studio 6. So, just know that if you have any questions, please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org and please write a comment and subscribe in order to support these videos.
Here’s what you’re going to do in order to obtain HD obviously is going to produce, I’m going to batch production, go to add files/projects and a browsing window like this should come up. what you’re going to do is browse your computer for any videos file. This is just a temporary thing so it really doesn’t matter what type of file you choose.
I’m just going to choose a random file, click on next and go to preset manager and click on new and add a preset name YouTube HD. Then on the file format, select MOV-QuickTime Movie. Just so you know, it won’t allow you to select it unless you have the QuickTime player installed on your machine because the QuickTime player is very essential for the HD quality to be obtained. You have to have it installed to make sure, so select it then click on next.
On the QuickTime options, go to video settings and leave everything as it is. Now, what you’re going to do is just go to frame rate and select it to be 30 frames/second. On the compressor, the quality should be set from high to best. Then you can leave everything as it is. You only have to worry about the frame and the quality.
Continue then go to size and then on your dimensions make sure you selected it to be 1280x720 HD. This is the new you tube resolution that provides the HD quality videos to be playing on you tube so, you have to select it to 1280x720 HD. Select okay again, then go to sound settings and what you’re going to do is make your compressor set to MPEG-4 Audio by where it should be and then your rate should be set from 44.1 to 48.
Then on the use, change it from Mono to Stereo then you can hit okay again. Then you can obviously select okay, and click on next. In another window like this should open up would ask for the custom size. Under the width, you’re going to change it to 1280 x 720 which as I’ve said before you tube resolution that provides HD quality videos. This can also be useful in your monitor screens so keep that in mind as well.
Then, select next and you can chose to include a water mark; click on options and you can open up a file which you want to add and you can increase the opacity, the image scale on how big you want it in the horizontal and vertical off set and where you want it to be displayed on the screen. Then you can click okay, finish and close. Then you can select cancel.
Now, you basically selected a preset so you don’t have to keep on doing this each time you create a video so that a really good thing. Now what you’re going to do is, I’m just going to make a quick demonstration on what you’re going to do once you’re done in this preset option.
Here I have a video file that I’ve imported to Camtasia Studio which has a camrec extension which is a recorded file using Camtasia studios. I’ve recorded my scene and I want to edit it before I post it on to you tube. I’ve imported it, now what I’m going to do is add it to the time lines, add to time line and once you’ve clicked on that, a project settings window should open up.
What you’re going to do here is right click on the drop down list, one the web choose YouTube HD and not the normal YouTube that’s on there but the new one that we made just recently, the YouTube HD; select that and now you can see that the width has been set to 1280 x 720. select okay and you basically applied the preset that we just made. You can now just go ahead and edit your video to however you want it, add in zoom and pan effect, your color outs and all that stuff.
Then, click on produce video as and select you tube HD, then you can see it says that the format is QuickTime MOV movie file which is going to use the QuickTime player just remember to encode it, you better have it installed and your dimensions to 1280 x 720. then, click on next. I’ll put the link to QuickTime in the description. Ten you can name your production in your output folder and then it’ll give you all the settings that we have applied.
As you can remember, we’ve set the Video Codec to H.264; the frame rate to 30, the size 1280 x 720, the audio codec, the audio format, the stereo also, the water mark we’ve enabled the water mark and then just click on finish and it should start producing your video in the MOV format. I don’t suggest you change the format just to upload it straight to you tube because youtube doesn’t recognize and accept to any movie extensions. It will take quite a while to encode this the first time. The longer the video, the longer it will take to encode so you better be patient but the end results will definitely worth it because in there you’ll have HD quality videos.
Just so you know, the HD option to watch your video on youtube will not appear immediately after you uploaded it so you have to wait a couple of minutes around 15-30 minutes for the HD option to appear below your video. Don’t get too panicky if it doesn’t appear.
That’s it for this tutorial, thank you for watching and visit my website at geekcompnerd.tk and please rate, comment and subscribe. Thank you for watching.
