Gina: Alright, it’s a rib day for the grilling couple, Pat and Gina; we’ve got a new thing to grill cause there’s just not anything we’d get our hands on, we grill, we have this really great recipe called Grilled Potato Salad; so, so easy. Pat: Well you know what honey, in our house, if grilling ain’t going, I ain’t got a smile on my face. Gina: You take six red potatoes and cut them in quarter Pat: and we cover all of them so that they already a little salt which is going to make it easy for grilling Gina: why? And we drizzle in a little olive oil so they won’t stick on the grate on the grill, just a little drizzle-a-drizzle Pat: do you know what’s there else is to set in honey? Gina: What else? Pat: I got the heat from the grill, but we also got to have us some flavored heat. So we’re just going to add two teaspoons of rare pepper flakes Gina: And a quarter teaspoon of kosher salt and a quarter teaspoon of black pepper (voice overlap); toss them all around, get them ready for the heat. We do heat indoors, we do heat outdoors Pat: Alright, I got my Hickory going and my charcoal going, go ahead just the right amount of flavor. We’re going to take this and we’re just going to put in right on using a direct heat. We flip them once or twice so that the grill marks are even If you remember we cover all them so it won’t take long for one to cook, and we head it all (0:01:15.7) as whale so that they won’t stick on the grates. Gina: So I’m going to make a little dressing to compliment those red potatoes. We then would start with a fourth a teaspoon of stone-ground mustard, then I’m just going to pop open here, it’s going to add all that in, you’ve got to put in a quarter cup of mayo, it may look sander out here, make it nice and creamy, okay, and two teaspoons of red wine vinegar. Give it a little twang to it. Alright, ready; and you’re just going to whisk it off together. That’s the dressing, nice and simple and easy. Pat: I’m back, check it out Gina: Oh, all ready, that looks good Pat: Yeah, I’ve noticed why you love me to grill, baby, cause they don’t take long Gina: Oh, and look at the nice grill marks; nice and simple Pat: They turned out perfect honey Gina: And we’re just going to put this in a nice pretty bowl because it’s all about the presentation as you guys know, there. Pat: Alright, and honey, I’m slicing a half of a Vidalia onion Gina: And I’m just going to some chives to make it pretty Pat: Alright, I got two strips of bacon that we’re just going to crumble up; yeah as you can do this anytime at home, it only takes a second Gina: Add the onions on, going to pour the dressing over it, okay. Pat: All the dressing is wonderful Gina: That not look good? You know I know it’s some simple ingredient, there ain’t ingredients and it’s done. By the time this is done, honey, the grill is clean, the party is coming and it’s all good. Here we just sprinkle your bacon Pat: Alright, now, okay. Gina: Okay that looks good, doesn’t it? And a little chives to make it pretty, always add a little nice color to it Pat: Almost y’all; this is the fun part, the eating, the eating. There we go honey, one for you Gina: look at that nice; I’m just going to eat the whole thing Pat: This is always the best part of the job Gina: And the bacon Pat: I knew the bacon in the potatoes, grilled with flavor Gina: And there you have it, Grilled Potato Salad Pat: Delicious
