Audra: When it comes to good Italian food nobody does it quite like the Scotto family. And now you can have some of their favorite dishes delivered anywhere in the country by Schwans. We stop by Scotto’s Fresco On The Go in Manhattan. And that’s where Marianne and Anthony Scotto showed us how to cook up a great meal with seasonal vegetables. It’s all in today’s Better Bites. Marianne: It not only should look good, but it’s got to taste good. Hi I'm Marianne Scotto. Anthony: Hi, I'm Anthony Scotto. Marianne: And this is my son and we're from Fresco by Scotto restaurant. And we're so happy to be here with you today. And we're doing a vegetarian dish, fusilli with seasonal vegetables. And boy is it good. Anthony: I got this pan really hot for you. Marianne: I know you do. Anthony: So we have a little olive oil. Marianne: And would you put a little butter in there. Anthony: Let me do that after this. Marianne: Okay. Anthony: So we're going to do our garlic next. Marianne: Okay. And the onion. Anthony: Yup. What we're looking just to do is to brown the garlic. We start with the vegetables mom? Marianne: Yeah. Anthony: What do you want to start with first? Marianne: Anything you want. Anthony: Carrots. Marianne: Carrots. Anthony: Red and green peppers. Broccoli. Mom, this could change as often as the seasons, correct? Marianne: It will. It will change with seasonal vegetables. Anthony: Some salt. Little pepper. Marianne: And you know what Anthony, you could add a little tomato sauce to that too. Anthony: Okay, give me a sec. let me just cook this for a sec. good enough? Marianne: Perfect. Anthony: Okay, so let me start cooking the pasta. Boiling water, throw a little fusilli. Mom, three spoon full or four mom? Marianne: I would do four. You know, I'm always one more. Anthony: Retain some of the pasta water when you put it in. I think I did a great job in a suite. Marianne: Some grated down there please. Anthony: Okay, grated cheese. Can we send it out mom? Marianne: It’s perfect. Anthony: Alright. Enjoy. Audra: It looks delicious and if you like to get this Scotto dish delivered to your home, log on to our website for the link.
