So you think you are not ready for some last minute entertaining. But you know what, think again, I am sure there is plenty of things in your pantry refrigerator that would make for some easy appetizers.
Let's start with a dip. Now I have a can of tuna, just going to toss it in there. Here is a little bit of olive dip that I found in my pantry. Some marinated artichokes, and I have a can of bean. Now you could do this with anything you have in your pantry, just think inside the pantry, go through what you have, maybe you have some kidney beans, these are some white beans. Get creative, this is your time to just take whatever you have and make something great out of it. But keep it easy, keep it simple.
Entertaining should be fun. So no stress. A little bit of mayonnaise. Now if I had sour cream, I could use sour cream or cream cheese will work great. But I have a little mayonnaise, I am going to mix it all up, going to season it with some salt and pepper. Now I like to start with the dips, because dips are a great way to entertain. They are easy, you can serve them up with some fresh vegetables or some crackers.
So once I get them all mixed up, what I am going to do is I am going to serve it up in a bowl. And now it's a great time to look around and see if you have any bread or crackers available, like so. You can dress up the plate a little bit, maybe you have some greens laying around, some fresh herbs are always nice, top them off.
And the another thing is if you have maybe a bell pepper, get creative. All I did was take some of the salsa from the fridge and some sour cream, and mix it up. And I have this bell pepper in there, I cut it open and I made it into a bowl making it a really attractive serving bowl.
Now something that is so easy to do, is to take sorbat dip and make it into your own. Now here I have some hummus and I am simply going to dress it up, put my own signature on it, a little lemon juice and I have some artichoke carbs here, so I'll just cut these up. Little bit of olive dip, and toss that on top, kind of blend it in. Top it off with some tomatoes, little bit of fresh herb, maybe some brown pepper, and a little bit of fresh olive oil.
Now who is going to know I didn't make that, right?
