Laura: Hey there Dick, is this your favorite watering hole?
Dick: When I want pure water yes it is.
Laura: So actually this water looks very nice but is under a disease is in here that I can contract just drinking it like this?
Dick: They certainly are. You cannot tell by looking at the water, that it can be full of different microorganism that can enter you seriously.
Laura: It looks like you actually got it piece of equipment that can help us.
Dick: I do like this is a water filter system obtainable all across the country. They work very, very effectively and if you do not have that or you want something compact and carry with you all the time, iodine tablets or water purification tablets.
Laura: How does that taste though?
Dick: It is not that great, but if you got water that has sediment in, you pull out your silk scarf you pour the water through the silk scarf into your bottle and then boil it. And you do not have to boil it a long time, as soon as you bring it to a boil you killed everything.
Laura: Right, but should not you have basically rule if you are out in the woods or camp, you know whatever you have to get water. You should always boil your water.
Dick: Yes if it is not gone through one of your septic systems.
Laura: Okay, to recap then, there is basically three ways of looking at taking out the bacteria in our water. First way is the filtration system if you do not have that you can turn to iodine tablets and finally if you do not have that we can have out trusty fill scarf on we can use that as long as it is accompanied by boiling out water.
Laura: I think I would like a cup of tea.
Dick: I would too.
Laura: I am going to collect some firewood and I will meet you up the hill, okay.
