Hi! Everybody! How are you doing? My name is Sylvia Pamphile and this is watchmojo.com. Now, I don't know about you, but my favorite part of meal is dessert of course. And I am going to be preparing a very special dessert for you today called Chocolate-dipped Strawberries.
Now, I know what you are thinking. Oh my God! This is so complicated; I totally won't be able to do it, but I am here to tell you, it is so easy. And I am going to show you a quick and easy way to prepare this scrumptious dessert.
So there's really nothing to preparing this delectable dessert. Here is what you are going to need. To start with, we are going to need some toothpicks which we are going to use to put in the strawberries that allow us to dip it into the chocolate. Of course, we are going to need some juicy big strawberries. We are also going to need some semi-sweet pure chocolate pieces, or you can get milk chocolate pieces, if you like. We are going to need a small pot to actually melt the chocolate in, and then we are going to need a cookie sheet, with some wax paper, that we will be placing these strawberries. So let's get started.
What you want to do when you get the strawberries, is first wash them, wash them very well, and then use some paper-towel to dry them very well, and the reason why that is, is because, if even one drop of water gets into the chocolate mixture, the chocolate gets clumpy and chunky and it curdles and then you won't be able to use a chocolate for anything, and that would be a tragedy.
What you are going to do is, actually melt the chocolate. All you have to do is just open the oven and put it to a medium low heat. We don't want the chocolate to burn and stir occasionally until the chocolate melts to the desired consistency. And now, the moment we've all been waiting for, the dipping of the strawberry.
So we are going to take the strawberry, and we are going to dip it in the chocolate. But not all the way, because we still want some of the red showing, it's a more decorative effect. Remove and twist it so that we don't have any spillage, and simply place it on the wax paper and we wait for it to dry.
If you want to jazz up your chocolate-dipped strawberries, why not try putting a little bit of drama into it, because we all like a little bit of drama. All you'll have to do is melt some white chocolate, dip the spoon in that chocolate and simply drizzle it over the already hardened chocolate-dipped strawberries. It makes a really nice dramatic effect. Give it a try.
So as we've placed our strawberries on the cookie sheet, what we are going to do now is put it in the refrigerator and wait for the chocolate to harden. It will take about 10-15 minutes, but after that, yummy, yummy, yummy!
So after the chocolate has hardened on the strawberries we are simply going to remove them from the refrigerator. And my favorite part, you are going to taste. My goodness! Simply delicious!
Now you see how easy that was fellows? If you want to impress your dates, this is the dessert for you. And ladies if you are having a girl's night in, it's nothing better than strawberries and chocolate.
