Hi everyone today at the Grilled we’re going to do a marinated grilled Chardonnay Shrimp using this Wild Horse Canyon Chardonnay. And so whisk together the marinade first and in this bowl I’ve got some honey and to that I add lime juice, Coriander, some salt, some chopped garlic, a couple of tablespoons of oil and put three quarters of a cup of the Chardonnay. Crack in a little bit of the pepper and just whisk that together.
So once you’ve got it whisked together, you just want to reserve a little bit of the marinade and some three and a quarter and a half of cup and just set that aside. And then you just take your shrimp pop into the marinade, cover this with plastic wraps, stick it in the fridge and let it marinade for half an hour to an hour. Anything longer than an hour might be too much. So while you’re not looking I pulled the shrimp out of the marinade and I thread it on to the skewers and I don’t have those really cool flat skewers, so I’ve used to two bamboo skewers just makes it really easy to turn.
I’ve got the German grill on a medium high heat. So what you want to do is just to prevent any sort of sticking, give it a little bit of a spray with that some olive oil first, you get a bit of the flatter up but don’t worry about not too bad and then just layer the shrimp skewers on.
It looks like we’re done. We just pull those off the grill, looking good or looking really good. A little bit chard but that’s just flavor. Now to serve this I’ve got some nice leafy salad greens and we’ll just pull our shrimp off, lay them on top of the greens, these are nice leafy greens from the garden in my front yard. I think these are mostly mustard green really nice tangy flavor and then on top just a little sprinkle of macadamia nuts and some red bell pepper, and then remember at the beginning we kept aside some of the marinade, we didn’t’ put it on the shrimp and you just pour this over top as a salad dressing. So enjoy this with some of the wine that you made the marinade from, absolutely fantastic.
Thanks for stopping by hope to see you again soon.
