How to Make Beef Shish Kebab Part 2/2
So now our Shish Kebab is nice and marinated. It’s been marinating for about an hour. Now, the one thing you should know about the Shish Kebab is the longer you marinate it the better the flavor. Sometimes it’s great if you have a dinner party, marinate it in the morning, prepare everything else and then it’s really great to just cook it right before everybody comes over because it has great flavor, it’s nice and juicy. Now, you want to take your skewers and just alternate between your Shish Kebab your onion another Shish Kebab, green pepper. Now, you don’t want push them too close together, you want to 0048 in space so that cooks really well. You just want to alternate maybe put three or four Shish Kebab on each skewer and I’ve got my grill getting really nice and hot. Now, traditionally, this is made on top of a barbeque or open fire. But if you’re home and you need to improvise a broiler is a great way to do it or a grill like we have here.
As long as you get just a bit right like the marinating and the seasoning we’ve got great Shish Kebab. So now, all these onions that you see at the bottom you’re not going to use those that was just to give the meat a great flavor. And like I said before, the reason they call it Shish Kebab because Shish literally means a skewer. So our Shish Kebab looks just about done ,you could see they’re really juicy and the steam is coming up and you could even smell the delicious peppers and onions. You just want to cook it for about five to seven minutes or until they’re thoroughly cooked. Keep eyeballing it and turning it around. So as you could see right here these are done I’m just going to put it on my serving dish that I have ready right here. You could see I’ve garnished it with some parsley and tomato and some onions. Those are great side kicks to our delicious Shish Kebab. You could even see the juice pulling off on these delicious kebabs. They’re so mouthwatering I know everybody here can't wait to eat them. And this is our world famous Shish Kebab.
So here we are at the end of another delicious Turkish meal. We made the famous olive oil dish Bean Pilaki, a favorite of mine potato soup and the classic Shish Kebab. I want to thank you now for your emails. You guys at home said you wanted something fast and simple so here it is. I hope you enjoyed it. And from my kitchen to yours, I wish you a great week.
