How to Make a YouTube Channel Icon
Hello YouTube and I’m just going to show you how you can make a YouTube channel icon, using Adobe Fireworks CS4 or if you don’ have it CS3. So basically you want to download the trial or the link in the description, just download it, Adobe has it’s own bowel of manager after it’s all downloaded, it’s a big file about 800 megabytes. You just want to launch the EXP file and install it and after you’ll open it up show looks something like this, you just want to open and create a new file.
Typically, a YouTube channel like harness 88 x 88 pixels to upload it to YouTube but it can be either any width and height as long as they’re both the same because we can resize it later. So you can either have a transparent chemist color or white but I don’t like white. So basically at first you will find it select your rectangle to hold it down to select a different one just click select your rectangle is you don’t have to be exact and of down here we can make it exact by making it exact, by making it 200X 200, the sides that we did and making the x and y axis is zero.
And then you can click enter and to submit the different settings we have and so now we have a perfect selection on our rectangle. Now we can change it to the way we want. So next to the color selection we can choose a different gradient or pattern, well people like Satin because it looks good and there are also different ones like linear and any other thing we can think off like rectangle and all that.
Now we want you can change your colors, this blue is a little too light so we use this blue and dark black and you can also add more swiftly some clicking or it also shows that add signs so that how we can add new colors and yeah I’m just going to go back to satin. It looks the best for backgrounds and this is your background so you can make a new layer if you want. Just could be in colored background. Just in case you did something wrong and then there you go you also have this selection little line thing that you can move to change the way that you’re the lines look like and then stretch it out with more than middle and yeah, we’ll just going to leave it like we also that.
So you can mess around with that to see how you want it just a little bit of like that and now you want to actually have the circle there or whatever shape you want. I technically use the lips tool to make a circle so we can make a new layer by clicking new typically layer and we have layer and we can just call this circles.
For the four ground it doesn’t matter so and you can just want to make a lips circle we can go back to the pointer tool and even without into the middle and we don’t want this to be same so we can go to the right making all these styles and we can go to the dark room styles, this is about technically everyone uses for their icons. I wish I made this figure but too late now but yeah and when you make your icon you can make this bigger.
And of course there are other style like under chrome but this one looks pretty good. Now we got this you can make another layer if you want and we can name this text. Of course text already makes his own layered thing but now we got another text colored text tool or just another type in T on your keyboard, make a square some type and I recommend the couple of fonts that most people like it want first is capture it font that looks pretty good, it’s a preview here if you want to know how in soft one’s watch your video and they’ll be in description and you can type in a custom preview and they’ll show up in the font.
Let me also the defuse font which will allow people like you see and you can just download it on the right and install it and you can just add your text you just stick with your normal MS in the PC, this is a little too big so we get smaller then go to the pointer tool and center that somehow but of course you probably don’t like the color so it can go here and go to the other text corporate or text creative styles and select preset color like this and you can make this log to your — and just centering that or of course you can always just pick your own colors and I usually add filters. So go to the filters here and just click that add sign and you can add jot shadow, change how big it is and the color if you want and maybe even an inter glow you can change that color if you want to lighter blue and yeah it looks pretty good you can add all their effects, you can go to commands and creative and add shadow but work from here I don’t know what and yeah that’s how it going to look and yes I could have made it better probably.
But yes this is the toil you can take a lot more time into your YouTube Channel icon but this is just a simple tutorial. So after you don’t know or editing and adding stuff you can just go to file and save as, name it whatever and just going to type in text test and you can choose the file type. I recommend PNG this is the highest quality picture out there but if then you can upload to YouTube by going to YouTube account and click change and just upload it at wherever you save it but if that’s too big because print is just pretty big you can now use a BMG or JPEG. They’re not as good quality but there are smaller file size a lot smaller file size, so just save it and upload it.
And that is it for this tutorial and my looks almost the same as here and this size is 200 x 200 and you want an 88 x 88 you can just upload it like this but I usually go to the modify, canvass and image size and then you can change it to 88 x 88 and because it’s 200 x 200 the width and height are exactly the same it will on good 88 and that’s how it’s going to look like. And now you can upload that and save it because if you go here it will say it can’t be over 236 gigabytes and it’s an 88 x 88 pixel square.
So that was it if this video helped you at all you give it five stars, comment and subscribe. Thanks for watching and Ill capture you guys later.
