Scott Sicari: Tin ceilings where the hottest design trend in the 1890’s we’re going to use them today to create a backsplash that’s uniquely new yet totally indulging. Start pattern on neat style is a modern take on the traditional tin ceiling tile, if your taste a little more classic they are many, many different patterns out here to choose from. So when cutting this tin you want to be really careful, you want to wear gloves because to tend hard edges. So, once you have all your pieces cut the installation process is pretty simple, we’ve begun installing these pieces just by overlapping the edges and it goes up really quickly. We’re using construction adhesive on the backs we’re putting a lot of adhesive use it liberally don’t be afraid and really that’s all the rest to the installation. Alright now this construction adhesive is ready to go, it sets of immediately so you want to give it right on the wall and we’re going to fit this over our light switch and just overlap our seem and just give it a nice press and it’s really, really that’s simple. One quick note it’s important to make sure when going around electrical socket or plug that there is no wires taking out because you know what metal can dodge electricity and that could hurt. Alright so we’re going to coat this tiles now with some adhesive this is going to help protect it and seal it out from rust and this goes on just like paint except we’re going to use a lens will applicator. What is this? It’s a nice and smooth and it will help get in all the crevices of this 3D design here and you’re just going to drag it across. Alright so we’re ready to cock our tiles and we’re using an aluminum and metal cloth it’s a great color and try to keep it as even as you can. It is probably let this cure for those 72 hours before you actually get it wet. The old was goes around and comes around has never been thrower, we’ve taken this traditional tin ceiling tiles and created a totally modern and unique kitchen backsplash.
