How to Make a Snake Game in a Flash
Hello YouTubers, I’m making a video on how to create a snake game in flash.
This is a very basic and easy tutorial. I hope you’ll learn something. Let’s begin, open your flash and create a flash document and give it a size 300x400. Now, create a square. It's just a simple shape; it could be a blue and give it a size 300x300. Next, give it a symbol.
Now, we have to create a text and write click to start with a red. Give it for an instance a name; this must be in capital letters. We’re going to insert symbols, click on advanced and click the 1st one. So, it has to be a movie clip and name it piece and the other one piece too. Create a square in another color. Go to properties and give it 15x15, x 0 and y 0.
Go to scene 1 and do the same new symbol but for food. Let’s create a cool thing, I’m going to create make an egg maybe. I’ll zoom in a little it, delete this part and with a line tool I’ll make some lines over here. There you go. Leave it without paint. Let’s make eyes for it; it's going to look like a cartoon. In here, select the pupils and we’ll go to the mouth, just do that. Select all, go to properties and give it a size 15x15, x 0 and y 0. Go to scene 1 again and select frame 1 and copy. I’ll paste all into my description to these actions scripts, go to scene and all I’ll have to do is copy. Copy that and if you control enter, there’s your snake game. The only way to loose is to hit yourself and there you go, I loose score 60. The only thing you’ll have to do here is click again and you’ll begin.
You can make a window library. You can go to the food. We can make some changes to it like the mouth maybe. You can make anything you want for the food; the important thing is that the size for it is 15x15. In that piece, you can also make 15x15.
These was all for today. I hope you’ve learned something and see you in my video. Goodbye.
