We are going to learn how to make a booklet out of two 8-1/2 x 11 inch sheets of paper and a pair of scissors.

First we will need to fold both sheets of paper in half, hamburger style. Make sure there is a good crease on the paper. Then we will take one of the sheets of paper and cut notches into it. The notches should be along the crease on the top and the bottom and go about 3 cm or a little more than an inch thick. Next we will take the other sheet of paper. Fold it in half gently, hotdog style. We are not going to crease this fold, but instead we will pinch the crease that is already there. Now we will cut along that crease from the close side of the paper until there is about an inch or a little less than 3 cm left. Doing this, puts a hole right in the middle of the page. Finally, we are going to take that first sheet, slide it right into the hole that we just cut. We need to make sure that the small knot just on the first paper slide right into the large hole on the second page. Now, one last fold and you are done.
