How to Make a Pompom Frog

Simple kids Crafts presents: One Cute Pom Pom Froggie!

So today we’re going to do a little froggie — a Pom Pom Froggie. For that you’ll need a
big pompom and a medium pompom and four small pompoms and all green. Two white
small pompoms and that’s for the eyes and two balls for the eyes as well and a hard glue
gun. And these two feet which I made from a little piece of fabric that I had — that’s felt
fabric but you can do that with construction paper as well.

So now we’re going to attach the head of the frog to the body of the frog which is a big
pompom and we’re putting that together as you can see, making sure that it's very well
set and soften it a little bit if you have to. And now we are going to attach the little hands
for the little froggie and that we are going to attach that right in the middle of the big
pompom which is the body and put that one and two. Here we go. It’s set. And the two
hands should be right in front of the little froggie because you want to do the froggie with
the two hands in fronts and then the two little feet as so the froggie is sitting on its side.

Now to the little feet, you attach the medium pompom — the little pompoms that we
have for the feet. And these will act as little legs and we have those setting in and now we
want to put a little bit of hard glue gun right into the pompoms, into the feet. And then we
want to go one and then two and now we want to take our little froggie and place it right
in front of the frog, just like that. So that it will look like the frog is sitting down. There
we go. I’m just trying to get this right at the beginning. It will look a little bit wobbly but
once it actually sits in and dries up, it will look good.

Now the next thing that we want to do is to glue right in the eyeballs which are basically
the two white pompoms and you set that right on top of the froggie’s head. There we go.
And when you’re doing this craft with a little child you should use the regular glue —
crafter’s glue or tacky glue, and this is what your froggie is going to look like. Actually I
have two variations of the frog 1 in which the tongue — it’s running out and one in which
you can see the whole frog smiling and then I put two dots with a marker on the frog
itself. You can do either style, and I’ll show you how to do that at the end.

Now, we have the two eyeballs right in place and I’m taking a little with our cloth. And
now we want to put right in and attach the googly eyes. I’m picking that up and let’s just
glue that right in. And I always put the glue in the actual — and then I’m working on so I
don’t have to burn my own hands. And here we go. And now we’re going to glue the
other eye. And here we go. Now I’m going to attach the eye and we are all set. Now,
you’re done. That’s your frog.

If you want to have — have additional details as I did in here, in these two examples that
I have done, you only need a little piece of red and lace or actually construction paper can
do that nicely. And you need a marker to put a little nose —the dots for the nose and you
can put it like this or this smiley face or you can put in outward like this so that it will
look like his tongue is sticking out and it's about to catch a fly.

I like it outwards a little bit so that’s what I’m going to show you now. So you can do it
either way so here we are and the tongue is a little bit too big for him so, I’m going to cut
off the excess a little bit out of that, but you can see the look of the froggie. The froggie
looks like it's catching a fly and it stick out his tongue.

Again I’m going to show you what the two frogs look like on camera so that you can
appreciate the differences and you can pick whichever you want and you can actually put
the marker in so you can get the little nose effect. But basically this just personalization,
so this is what the frogs looks like. On the right hand side you have the frog with the wide
smile and then the two little nostrils and on the left hand side you have the frog the
tongue sticking out and then the two little nostrils and that’s just a little bit extra. I hope
