Hi, I'm Stephen Philips host of the Great Cocktails. I'm going to show you how to make the ever popular Mojito in just one minute okay, let’s go.
We start by throwing in four lime wedges. Two to three teaspoons of sugar and about 8 to 10 fresh mint leaves into our mixing glass. Now, this is what you get to use your muddler. You want to muddle that mixture until the sugar is dissolved, the mint is totally crushed and all the juice from your line wedges are all drawn out. This smells good and you haven’t made the drink yet. We fill the glass with ice and we add two ounces of light rum. There we go, next we cover off and then we shake but just briefly. We’re ready to strain this into our tall Collins glass that we’ve already filled with ice. Strew that in, top that off with some club soda and then we’re going to garnish with two or three mint sprigs and there you have it the one minute Mojito.
If you want to jazz up this Latin lover, modeling some English cucumber with your other ingredients at the beginning and it will give this drink a whole new fresh flavor. Making your drink into a great cocktail, salute!
