This particular drink is called a Kir. It’s a before-dinner drink. It’s popular in wine bars. If you were over in Europe before dinner they would serve it. It’s an interesting drink because it combines white wine and one of the liqueurs.
And what we’re going to use first is crème de cassis and crème de cassis is a berrish kind of sweet type liqueur. We’re going to put in an ounce of our crème de cassis just like that and then what we’re going to do is add one of our white wines, it could be a Chardinelle, it could be Vignoinier, it could be a Pinot Grigio, any type of white wine that’s not sweet, pour it in there, jut like that.
Now remember whenever you’re pouring wine into a glass think about three fingers, it’s all you need on that. So this gives your white wine kind of a sweet berrish wine flavor to it. Interesting before-dinner drink, it’s strictly a sipping drink on that. Enjoy it!
