How to Make a Glass Globe Ornament This is my holiday Globe Ornament. I really capture the holiday theme. I’m going to start with a glass globe ornament and these are great because there are blank canvass and already empty. We’re going to take the top half of it. We’re going to start by putting the red ribbon around the ornament. Just use the decorative scissors to trim out the ribbon and we’re actually going to make it really thin. We’re going to use a glue gun and just put a dab right here. The nice part is that you glue it right there. It’s hidden under the cap and this is actually to velvet ribbon. So it’s got a nice fill to it and we can put a dab of glue right here on the bottom just to hold your ribbon in place. And you’re just going to place it over that dab of glue and bring that up and around for that dab of glue. I’m going to pick one more piece that I’ve pre cut and I’m going to wrap it going the other way, same exact thing three dabs of glue. The next thing we’re going to do is add a little bow at the bottom; I’ve pre-made these little bows to cover the glue on the bottom and on the top just make sure you press it down firmly. Now, we’re going to put this larger ribbon at the very end. And now what we’re going to do is create a holiday theme on the inside of the glue. We’re going to make a little snowflake to go on the inside. You’re going to get regular card stock and you can do white, you can do a silver or whatever you like. This is actually a lovely snowflake stamp and I’m going to cut a few of this and this shows you. The cool thing is you can cut a circle around here, and have the negative of the snowflake or you can actually use the piece of the snowflake. The snowflakes have two purposes. I’m going to use them on the bottom of the inside as well as string from the top. And what we’re going to do, I already have ready and good to go, is use gold ribbon and create actual snowflake that are glued on each side of the tip, that way we can hang it within our Globe. We’re going to put a dab of glue on the inside room of the globe, drop it to the length that you want, and path to that is already we just want. So we’re going to put glitter on the inside of it. Now that you’ve punched the whole bunch of this out, you can create whole snow scene by dropping among the inside. So that way it looks like it's snow on the ground. After you’ve done your scene of falling snowflakes and snowflakes from the bottom you’re going to take that larger ribbon on top and you’re going to glue this one in to hide any of the work you’ve done. You’re going to pop this speck on and then the best part. You have this lovely little scene. Look at that. The end result is fabulous. You can see how great it looks and how it captures the holiday spirit.
