This drink is called Kool Aide and we’re going to make it in a shooter glass. It’s from the shooter or shot classification of drink which are meant to be kind of drink all at once, so not a sipping type cocktails or sipping type drinks.
So our recipe calls for Midori, this green liqueur right here. It’s a sweet liqueur. It tastes like honeydew melon. So we’re going to fill that up about a third of the way then what we’re going to use is Amaretto which is an almond- flavored liqueur. Amaretto happens to come from Italy but if you didn’t have Amaretto, you could use like almond schnapps, something similar to that. And we’re going to float the Amaretto on top, just like so and the reason why I’m floating it on top is because the Midori is denser, it has got more sugar in it. And then what I’m going to do is I’m just going to take a little splash of our cranberry juice here and that would go on top.
So we have a lot of interesting flavors here, we have melon, we have nuts, and then we have a little shot of cranberry juice and there we have it our Kool Aide and probably it tastes just like Kool Aide. I’ve never tasted it but that’s what people tell me. Enjoy it!
