Cindy Sullivan: Hi, my name is Cindy Sullivan and I’m a Senior Consultant, Recognitions Consultant; a consultants and firm for a aspiring graduate, law school, medical school, college and business school applicant. I’m going to answer some common questions about the business school application process.
Male: How does having good work experience play into my business school application?
Cindy: Having good work experience gives you an edge over the competition. If you have good work experience you need to showcase that. If you have a shorter career progression you really need to highlight why MBA is critical it does complete in your career. Also, most MBA programs consist of case discussions and group assignment which call for working in teams. Business schools want a candidate who have demonstrated an ability to work well in a group setting. More often than not, work experience provides individuals an opportunity to work in teams and demonstrate people’s goals.
It is your personal qualities, academic abilities and work experience that will allow you the best chance of being accepted to a top MBA program.
Male: Call us if you would like to discuss your work experience and how it will impact your admission chances. 703-242-5885.
