In this tutorial we are going to be using the two string method so need two strings, the one in behind is a one string and you can see there when you go to stretch it, see how stretched that is? It is one string and you can actually see your fingers behind it. I am not a fan of that so I am recommending everybody to use two strings at once. And so you will need your one ball and a secondary ball to run simultaneously together and this is the colors that I am going to use at the top.
These are slightly different variation of wool and the nice thing about making your homemade stockings is that you can them the colors that you want so you do not have to necessarily be traditional. With the red I am going to be using the normal ball of wool and then remember what I just said, we are using two strings so I have made a secondary ball of wool. What you also need then is the bowl and inside the bowl, one string will be inside okay so then what is going to happen in this case, when you got two of the small balls—you are going to want two balls and then you just basically put them in inside and as you pull it.
It just rotates itself around inside and it does not run away or catch under furniture so you will that and you will also need your five inch standard Wal-Mart loom. You will need your hook. You will need something to measure and because even though this is a standard thirty rows and that we know the very bottom is only six rows, everything else is a measurement of inches so you will need one of those. You will need a pen and a piece of paper and to start this tutorial off I will suggest to you get a scrap piece of paper and label one through twenty one and what we are going to do is every time we pass the bump here at the top. We are just going to record that we passed it. So we are going to get you started let us cast on and get this rock and rolling and we are using the two string twisted and we are doing a twisted stitch method of looming.
