How to Look Great for a Winter Date
Veronica: Winter is here and love is in the air but what to wear. Hi I’m Veronica and today in WatchMojo.com and Old Navy are teaming up to find the perfect looks for your next winter date.
So what are some things to take into consideration when dressing for your next winter date?
Jeffrey Spivock: (Old Navy) You want to definitely balance function with looking really stylish. If you want too look great on your date and impress the guy or the girl that you’re with or you also don’t want to shiver and freeze if you’re outside. Some great warm frost free jackets, you know great sweaters and definitely lots of layer and pieces.
Veronica: Is dressing in layers the answer when you’re not sure where you’re going?
Jeffrey: I definitely think that’s a great way to do it and that’s a great way to be able to sort of adapt in any situation, all of a sudden you’re in front of the roaring fire and you don’t want to be there with just really heavy sweater and not be able to sort of you know relax because you’re afraid your sweating.
Veronica: So do you think you can show us some specific looks for you next wither date?
Jeffrey: Sure let’s check it out.
So our first look is what you would wear if you’re going on a date outdoors perfect if you are going skating or taking a walk down a cobblestone street. On Adlina here we have our great frost free jacket and that’s really going to keep her warm during these transition months. We’ve thrown on a great multicolored scarf inches wide and the hoody underneath which is lined on the inside with a great shearling.
Underneath you can see we’ve got a great stripe T and of course some of Old Navy’s amazing denim which can take you through all 4 seasons.
On Derrick here we’re doing a really sort of relaxed easy look, something that he would be really comfortable in if he was to do some athletic or show off in front of his girl. We’ve got a great hoodie and the scarf that matches. We’ve got a couple of graphic Ts that we’ve layered one on top of the other and again another fantastic pair of Old Navy’s affordable but really high valued denim.
So this is perfect, you guys look great. This is our second look, great for a second date, romantic dinner or a nice cup of hot chocolate together. It’s a bit more of a dressy look. Here we have her in this great coat mixed with a chunky knit scarf which is really fun but still a little bit elegant and still makes her feel like she’s ready to go out on the town.
Underneath we have Old Navy’s fantastic party carties a little bit more dressy and you could throw them over any dress if you have any events coming up. She’s got a great cotton top underneath and this ruffled skirt. The ruffles are really taken forward into these fantastic heels that’s she has and also a little ruffled clutch so that she can hold for makeup or her cell phone for later.
He’s got this zip up sweater, check shirt underneath and his fantastic new khaki’s which will keep him warm because they’re lined with flannel on the inside. You can cut them up as well if he was wearing them with a great pair of boots.
This is a look for one of those long-term couples, one who want to have you know a date night at home in front of a roaring fire or watch a movie together and this is just really a comfortable look. So she’s wearing great tank up but that’s still really pretty because it has some ruffles on it and then a super soft sweater on top and of course some great Old Navy pants that are really comfortable to lounge around the house in. We’ve got her also in a great pair of booties that just keep her feet warm and toasty in front of the fire.
On him we have this great graphic t-shirt which you know has a fun print on it and just something he would be really comfortable in and he’s got a thermal top underneath and of course his great lounge pants On top of it we have some great slippers for him that he can keep his toes warm and comfortable when their both in front of the fire watching that movie.
