Today’s lesson is to show how different color schemes can affect the room. Color can make a dramatic change to our surroundings especially at large areas like walls. In the following examples, we will show you how different a bedroom can look by solely changing the wall colors.
The fabric selected on the bedspread has an abundance of vibrant colors in the pretty stripe design. A neutral wall color has been selected by the client to make the fabric the highlight of the room. We will use this as our base scheme. The room is large and spacious and can afford to be closed in by using a deep tone of color like the blue selected from the stripe in the fabric. Blue is a popular color to use in the bedroom because it is a cool, calmly hue. But with this much depth, it can be too dominating in other space. Olive green once again is selected from the fabric color range that creates a refreshing serving space. The tone is too deep and encloses the room. Mint green is selected on the background color of the fabric. It is settler than the first two options and contrast well to tone the furniture, internal balance works better within the room as the walls do not dominate and they still provide a calm and tranquil bedroom.
Wow! Dashing and daring. This color selection looks well as a base spectrum – the orange coming from the fabric design. It is probably too stimulating to sleep for longer periods when the warmth and deep for the colors is inviting. An option for a feature wall of blue, a great backdrop for the painting enhances these features. The tint of the remaining wall is another color from the fruit design and balances the blue in the space. I refer to the color scheme videos to understand that. This way of using color has created a different look from the previous options. It adds to the symmetry of the room.
Another feature wall this time using the deep blue and olive green for the remaining walls, it is more dramatic than the previous scheme and highlights the stripes in the bedspread. The blue reflects the view, which looks as they have like and the colors provide a tranquil and traditional elegance to the space. The feature wall of – kind. The use of cream and tan keeps the room spacious, open and airy and leaves the beauty of the fabric to dominate symmetrical space. The cream provides a warm contrast to tone the furniture in addition of tan room its movement – to the room.
So now, you can see just how different you can make a room by simply changing the wall colors. Make sure you see our other videos because they explain more why colors work together.
