So, let’s start the next part of this particular craft and everybody knows that I used to be a car designer at one time and I’m all about symmetry. I’m all about hiding the ugly stuff from the truth. I’m going to tell you this is what we’re going to be doing.
So, what we need to do is that you need at least two strings. So you choose the two colors that you want and for the effect in the background, I got a really good deal on this I’ve last shown. I got a whole bag of it from Wal-Mart for $4.99 which is the best deal ever and so I ended up getting right eight of these balls for $4.99. You know that’s what like $2.99 three bags each. So, that was a really awesome deal.
So, I’m going to use this color. I’m going to use my pink, and I’m going to use my eyelash yarn together now to create the effect that’s in behind. So if you just want to use two regular ones, you just go right ahead if you got some extra row that you want to burn off. Now you can that see there is a thickness difference. So if you go to three yarn of this thickness, it will be very tough. So I wouldn’t recommend that. So if you got the third one which is really thin, go for it.
So, let’s do another slip-knot that we’re going to using these two yarns for now. So, let’s the back or the forward, and I’ll take this one up and push up. What we need to do is that we’re going to look. I’m right-handed, if you’re left-handed, you might start on the other side.
So, do you see the knob? You start on the left side and what you’re going to do is just put it on and just put snug, not too tight. Now, this is part of my car designer stuff. So, let’s push this both halfway down this whole entire section. What we’re going to do is backtrack. So, let’s bring this over and so we’re just going to put it around like so. So now grab all three strings and now, let’s start. See this little string in here that I just did that with, and you’re going to hide that fine. Nobody is ever going to know it’s there. So that’s what you can do. It’s one of things you can do.
So, let’s go all the way around and let’s go our twisted knit, so it’s in the center. This is called E-wrapping. So we’re using all three strings at the same time. So I’m just going to speed up to my comfortable speed, and I’ll use it like a path or way of the both. Just using my one hand to stabilize, and rotate using my thumb like kind of grabbing on like teeth and we’re just going to work our way around this section.
So, what we’re doing here is we’re creating the very first like I feel at the material down here. You see at this, we’re creating this edge. So, this is where you came around. So, let’s go back. See I just used that as a stabilizer, so we’re just going to finish off. We’re just going to finish off the one before the knob.
So grab in your hook. We’re just going to take the bottom one. Push over, and as the same one that I’m still holding on to because once I pushed that over, I can let it go. So, let’s work our way back around the ring. You can either do like I’m showing you or you can push down as you go. I’m telling you it’s probably easier to push down as you go.
Now, these ones here up in the side, remember I asked you to grab two, and that’s why they looked slightly different. But again, the flopped handling is just so that your bottle can stand up and when you get passed the few of these, this is the lose strings so you see strings. We want to keep that on the inside.
So, as we’re just putting everything over. So, as we continue to go around, and go a few more lines beyond here, you’re going to notice that this is going to like condensed back in. But you kind of want that because this particular loom actually grabs on to the actual bottles beautifully.
So now, we’ve just gone all the way around, and we’re always going to finish at the one before the knob if you’re right-handed. Maybe if you’re left-handed, you’ll finish on this side. So now what we’re just going to continue to go and just whatever bottle like some people liked to drink the same amount of wine or at the same kind of wine where Daniel likes to go in different flavors, and his bottles tend to be very different.
So what we need to do is that we can continually check because the bottles, the wine just kind of like slip right into the center of this thing just like so. So what you want to do is you want to go to the height to about one-inch over. So see how it’s kind of condensing in. So if you want to go at about one-inch, and then what we’re going to do is we’re going to then cut this loom into half, not literally but we’re going to do that. And we’re just going to do a panel all the way up that is the corset touch you’re going to tie it shot.
So, that is what we’re going to do. So we’re just going to keep working our way in a circle until we actually get to about one-inch beyond words that starts to come in. So if you’re giving away wine, maybe you’re giving away the same bottles of wine and you’re making a craft for it. So you can just use what? You can just use your bottle. This is kind of a really subjective thing because some bottles are different sizes depending on the maker, so the last one that you see in the background which is about an inch taller than this one that is to the left or to the right here which causes a little bit of problem because when it fit properly.
So there’s really no standard. I don’t think if you’re going to do it this way. But you don’t have to do it of course either. You could just make this whole thing just a regular loom all the way to the top of the bottle and then you can just loom off at the top, so you can cast off. And we can show you how to do that too. You can just tie it off, and put some ribbons and bows around it and give it away as a gift. So, it’s a very versatile pattern.
So, let’s continue to work your way around. I’m not going to show you all the round, I’m just going to do this one here, and you just going to keep repeating and repeating and repeating until you get a one-inch over the neckline.
So you can see this eyelash and it really does blend properly. It’s not too much. It’s enough to give it our effect. So you can see now, it’s really certainly grow nicely, and you’re going to see it. It is now starting to condense on the inside as it grows, so continue to do that, and we’ll meet you back up about one-inch over the bottle line and over the neckline.
