So we want to get our material, and we want to do the first part. So I would recommend grabbing a crochet hook. And, what we want to do right on the center is we want to fasten these two together, and then pull that shut. Because if we don’t, it’s going to end up sticking out like a sore thumb like this.
So how we’re going to do it is we’re just going to fold this in half and grabbing your material, just grabbing your crochet hook, fold it in half and stick your needle through both sides. Okay this isn't rocket science or brain science so you don’t have to be too exact. Crunching up your material or your ribbon, okay on your crocheting hook, and pull through.
We do want to be somewhat gentle with this because we don’t want to crochet hook grabbing actual strands of this material. So we’re going to pull through with the short side first. And now let’s go to the other side and bunch it in half. Put your needle through, grabbing the same material and pulling through. You might want to wrap around your needle twice to make sure it doesn’t come off, might just be easier that using your fingers you can just pull the rest of it through. So, you want to pull it so that these things are now exactly in half.
So now what we want to do is we want to work up like a shoelace and come up. Grab your crotchet hook. Don’t go underneath and around. You want to go through the outside first, and the back through.
So let’s go to the other side so, grabbing from the inside and both the same width across. Wrap it in both on the other side wrapping it, it’s like a shoelace right. And now, let’s work our way up. What we need to be mindful up here is that we don’t get them—we want them to be in the inside of it.
So let’s go again and work our way to the inside again, so maybe go up another half inch or an inch, humping of the neck that you did, pull it through. So I pulled it through the outside again just like so. And let’s go to this other side with the same height.
You know what I did? I pulled it from the inside. I want to go to the outside, and pull it inward. The reason for it is you want that beautiful ribbon to be exposed. Let’s try that again. Wrap again around. That came in from the outside, and we’re going to do one more at the very top, and then that’s it.
So again, in the inside. Go the other side, grabbing it from the inside. And now you can adjust what you want to do. So now, you go end up with all your material at the top. And now you want to fix all your—give it some slap, you don’t want to be too tight.
You can see it’s all over the presentation, right? And whatever you want to do to the top of it, it’s up to you at this point. And this is just the materials that we’re going to be using on our Christmas tree, like so. And there you go, you have your corset. And there, I present to you your corset bottle. That’s it.
