How to Knit a Pomp A Doodle Scarf

And welcome back to the crochet crowd everybody and this is your pomp a doodle poodle time and this is another scarf only took me one minute. One minute to do on this entire thing. it’s only six pegs on the loom it looks absolutely fabulous. We’re going to take you right now into the studio and get you to learn how to do it we do the casting on casting off but this is really wonderful. It’s only six pegs on the loom so it actually makes it look very random. It’s a very, very think scarf in comparison and that is just a really fabulous time. Welcome back to another edition of the crochet crowd and today we’re going to work with pomp a doodle. Pomp a doodle is actually kind of fun and this is what it looks like and basically the pomp a doodles are basically in between -- basically sequentially so it’s the same distance in between each. So let’s not begin to do a pomp a doodle scarf here on the looming and I like the round one in comparison to the actual square when it comes to pomp a doodle.

So what you want to do is see the two pieces and you want the first not to be -- so your first not to be in between those two. so it is a little bit difficult. But if you have smaller hands, it’s easier to manipulate to get your slip knot to get the first. So now I got it. so basically I have here your anchor out. you can put it on the left or the right hand side well we’re going to use six plates.

Okay so that was your first one. so let’s put it back down again and rewrap again. So we finished off with the last one. so now we want to push it all down. Come to the next one out there, around so in out, in out, and we want to wrap the very last one and then come back on the inside and fold it and now we want to go to the bottom again. So the pomp a doodle is still there. So you can still get it so why am I using the round one versus the rectangular? I find there's more spaces in between them to allow you to use this step a lot quicker and it’s a lot less frustrating so good luck with that. so that’s it everybody and we’ll to you later we’ll get to cast off.

Okay everybody, two hours has gone by and I have my full scarf already ready done and actually on both sides of hanks that was my way so it’s a really great length, nice and thick as you can tell and now it is time to cast off. Now I like casting off going toward my right because if your left handed you might want to go the other way. so just finish off so now it’s just time to cast off. So what you need to do is now start working back toward these dark ones. And I know it’s very difficult to tell but you want to take that one and you want to knit it.

So you don’t want to go all the way back across and what you want to do too is that when you're finishing off I left this much, so there's not a lot left to be able to finish off because I want to use most of my product. So I now I just knitted that one so now I want to pick it up and I want to move it back although the starting one. what I want to do is take the end I want to loop it in and if you want to tie it one more time you're more than welcome if you have enough space to do that. I'm going to do it for my own sake.

And you won't see it anyway so there's really no harm in doing that. and so tie it and now I'm just going to weave again. So that’s my pomp a doodle everybody.
