Welcome to the Flash Cleaning Care Broadcast. My name is Naomi Cleaver and I will be taking to you today about your living room and how to keep it looking lovely. Good design is alchemy of logic and art and a balance if you like between beauty and practicality and all spaces obviously need to be practical but it does not mean to say that we need to compromise on beauty.

This stay space does tend to be at a premium, what it means that your room has to be multi functional and now the way to make a room multifunctional is to have storage but your storage does not have to be boring and ordinary. It can be beautiful like this cabinet here. And if you use something really gentle like flash clean and care, you can love and cherish your cabinet for years to come.

Now, our homes are very often an expression of who we are and the lives we have led. So, more often they are not, we are going to have a collection of old and new object but a fair I think is how we look after those old and new objects. Perhaps old needs a different kind of attention to the new objects. Well, that is not actually true. If you use a product which is so gentle, you can use it on your antiques that you may have inherited from your grandmother like I have or very new things as well.

Never forget that your living room is for lounging and atmosphere is absolutely keys that all its drawn incorporate a lovely bowl of fresh flowers or even a pot plant and scented candles can be very nice. As long as that very good quality and not the cheap ones and of course with candles that you get waxed, if you do happen to spill a little bit wax in your furniture, do not despair. The trick is to get a warm iron on a bit of kitchen towel. Place kitchen towel over your little wax blushes very gently on over towel to bring the wax out.

If you are a very social kind of person, it is good to design in perhaps some extra sitting, maybe a low table with a few little stools, put it underneath that can be pulled out on a moments noticed. And while you want your living room to look fantastic, you also would not able to use it so actually not to be too precious. If you get few rings on your furniture that all products around that will very gently remove those marks and keep your living room looking absolutely gorgeous.

I think the common temptation when it comes to lighting a living room is to put in ceiling fittings as well as a few table lamps. Actually what you need is just a really well judged collection of table lamps so that when you are sitting on your sofa or your chair, you can actually see what you are doing as probably going to be reading, watching television even a bit of knitting and if you put all your lamps on a five amp circuit, it means that as you walk into the room, all you need to do is switch a single switch and they all come on.
