Audra Lowe: Cleaning the house and shouldn't clean out your back account too. Jeanette Pavini is here to show us a few simple tips that are general on the wallet and the environment. It's all in today's Better Ways To Save.
Jeanette Pavini: Well, you can save money on paper towels and sponges by using rags made from old T-Shirts or towels. Then, go to the kitchen cabinet. Your wood floors will shine if you wash them the mixture of White Wine Vinegar and water.
No need to add soap. The vinegar strips the grind but leaves a shine. The all star cleaner and the kitchen cabinet is baking soda. Use it to polish faucets and to clean sinks. Boil a few tablespoons in a mug of water to clean the inside of a microwave.
Make a paste and spread it on Marble or Formica Countertops, then rinse off. Finally, you can add it to your dishwasher to clean out smells and leave dishes shining.
Audra Lowe: Jeanette has another great cleaning secret. Get your cutting boards off, so we could clean. All you have to do is rub them with the cut lemon and then wipe them down. Try it.
