So, now what we’re going to do is open up iTunes like this is. We are going to open up iTunes. And if you’re on a PC, just probably will take about 20–probably close to 20 more or less seconds, to open it only because iTunes has never been that–that compatible with the PCs.
So alright, so it’s open now. And it says, “iTunes has detected an iPod in Recovery Mode. You must restore this iPod before it can be used with iTunes.” Which is pretty obvious, we can go ahead and select OK now. And as they said, we are going to hold Shift, alright, and click Restore.
Again, this is only for PC. I don’t have a Mac so unfortunately I can’t show you this on a Mac. But I don’t even think they’ve come out with a GY version like this for Mac, so yeah at least.
That’s my phone, sorry about that.
So you are going to locate your desktop which is where it was automatically saved to. And you are going to find your Custom Firmware.ipsw, which is right there. So you are going to select that and that will say “Extracting Software” it will go through this whole process.
Alright guys, so as you can see, I now have my Custom Boot Logo that I selected from the QuickFreedom GY based jailbreak tool. So now, just waiting for to boot up and I’m going to–preview to you that. I have CD uninstall here. So right now, it says “Connect to iTunes”. And so what that means is, you just need to plug it up into iTunes and set it up just like a normal iPod straight out of the box. So slide to unlock. And there you guys go, Installer 4.0 and Cydia 2.0.
Now, to get all your stuff back on, this is very, very important. Make sure to select Set up. I am going to put this one for you and zoom in. You are going to want to select Set up as new iPod. Alright, do not restore from the backup. So you are going to select, Set up as a new iPod. And you go and to select Continue. And then you know–just put in my name here. So yeah, that’s pretty much it. Select Done.
And right now, from my iPod, I can see a little bit, it’s dim though. It says, Sync in Progress. I’m just going to cancel that. And so, there you guys go. Again, to get all your jailbroken applications back on, go into Cydia, add that source again. It’ll be in the description to your right. And install APT backup and select Restore, and it should restore all of your jailbroken applications. I haven’t used it yet so, I’ll let you guys know if that works and–so, that’s pretty much it.
Let me show you that, it does boot though without the computer. So as you can see, it’s not connected. I’m going to slide to power off. And we are going to reboot it. And let me just put this down for you guys. And so–I mean, that’s pretty much all the proof you need. It’s already responsive as you know the–so, there you go. That image was certain as an application that iTunes sync up with it.
So there you guys go. I still got Cydia and Installer, jailbroken. Thanks for watching guys. Remember to rate, comment, and please subscribe.
