The Heart of the Garden: Part 2

Now, that you have completed your faucet assembly, you are now ready to connect your mainline tubing. The purpose of the mainline tubing is to distribute water to different areas of your garden.

Before unrolling your tubing, it is best to lay it in the sun for approximately 30 minutes. This allows the tubing to soften and makes it easier to use. Start by cutting the tape and attaching one end of the tubing to the Easy Loc female hose beginning.

To connect your mainline tubing to your Easy Loc female hose beginning or any Easy Loc fitting, start by turning the coupler back to the body of the fitting which exposes the barb. Firmly hold the fitting in one hand and slide the tubing over the barb as far as it will go. Some force may be required and it can be made easier by rocking the tubing onto the barb.

Finally, tighten the coupler clockwise over the tubing until tight. After completed, attach the Easy Loc female hose beginning into the regulator by screwing it on clockwise. This allows the transition from the faucet assembly to the mainline tubing.

Now, roll the tubing as you would attire through the desired areas of your garden. This allows for fewer kinks to occur. As you unroll the tubing, apply the U-shaped hold downs approximately every 5 to 10 feet to keep the tubing in place. If you wish to branch your tubing to different areas of your garden, an Easy Loc tee may be required.

The tee is connected the same as the Easy Loc female hose beginning mentioned earlier in the video. To close off the mainline tubing, attach a figure-8 ending. Insert the tubing into one of the holes then kink back the tubing and slide it into the other hole. This creates a watertight seal and an end to your hard kink.
