Hi, I’m Mark Donovan from HomeAdditionPlus.com, and today I’m going to show you how to install a towel ring.
What we’re doing here is we’re remodeling a bathroom and we’re going to place a towel ring on this wall. I chose not to center it below the window, but instead lining it up over the wall stud, partially to keep it a little bit away from our bathroom toilet.
And what we’re going to do is we determine the height, the middle mark above the cushion plate associated with the towel ring.
Now, with the marked in place I’m positioning a mounting bracket such as the top of the mounting bracket is even with the line from the top of the cushion plate associated with the towel ring, and then I’m just simply going to take a pencil make a pencil make for the two holders where I want to put in some strips because we’re mounting the towel ring on a wall stud I’m not using this plastic wall hangers.
If you’re mounting on the wall and there’s no wall studs behind you certainly you’re going to use one of these wall hangers otherwise, the towel ring would easily rip out of the dry wall.
So, now we’re attaching the mounting bracket to the wall by inserting the screws into the hole and basically mounting it into the dry wall and wall studs.
So, now I’m mounting the towel ring itself to the bracket and there’s a little screw underneath the bottom side of the towel ring then all I have to do is snug down over the bracket.
So, that’s it. It took us about five minutes to mount this towel ring onto the wall. If you have other home improvement questions visit us at HomeAdditionPlus.com today.
