Hello. This is just an update on my previous video about using Kino to import raw video from a Mini DV Camcorder.
And if you check my previous video, you’ll find that I had a problem in importing the video because Kino kept on spitting up the video I imported. Every time I pause or stop recording of a scene, it would detect that break and creating a file from it and I’ll show you what it mean.
What I've done, I’ve create the file output to go into this folder here entitled “folder”. That movie is not in there so I’m going to capture this now. Any moment, you’ll see a number of separate short video clips being output to this folder here.
The fixings, well, it’s not fixed it’s just an option really that I didn’t take or rather intake and I don’t know why I didn’t figured this one out earlier. It’s like quite perplex on the time really. There should be another video coming up shortly.
That’s a change of scene. That paused event to capture the scene as you can see. As I pause it, it creates another video. Well that all scene, as you go on that’s going to being convenient because let’s just say I want a taming recording of the scene that I shot that day. Well, all several files created, I just want one file.
So, what I have done, I’ll just stop this now. What I should have done rather, is go to Edit, Preferences, and on the Capture Tab, you’ll see here Other file Options. It’s got a click box there and it’s all detected Auto Split files. I should have seen this before. I just don’t understand why I didn’t see it really.
All you got to do is uncheck that option. So once you’ve uncheck Auto Split files, you click OK. And whatever you’ve captured will be captured properly. So it has one file I mean. So I should rewind that again just to prove that it’s working. I’m going to get folder up again. You’ll have one file now. I’ll have this in. so I’ll just click on capture, or no, play first then capture.
It surely makes life a lot easier once you get them all together and then just simply the case of using DVD to convert them for the YouTube When you come merge these files, but you know it’s going to be a lot easier doing the way I'm doing it now.
Now the change of scene is coming up shortly and you’ll notice that there won’t be another video added. See? No edit, what has it good before?
So I’ll just stop it there. So what you got really, you got three scenes in one file here. I’ll just click it to prove it.
So as you can see there’s no split there. So that’s all it is. It’s as simple as that as much of un-ticking the tick box.
So, there you up, that’s how you fix up a particular problem. Okay, thank you for watching.
