Hey everyone and welcome to another Photoshop video tutorial from Roberts Productions Studios. Today I'm going to show you how to add and import your brushes that you downloaded from the internet to Photoshop.
So the first thing we need to do is get the brushes. So, where we’re going to get them from? We’re going to open up my browser and I'm going to head over to deviantart.com, whatever you want to call, I'm going to call it deviant. And once it loads go over here to browse menu, the side menu and click on resources, application resources and Photoshop brushes.
Now under this Photoshop brushes you're going to get many different cool brushes. I could sit here all day and download every single one of them. As you can see you get a initial brushes, these are all of the most popular deviations in Photoshop brushes submitted the last eight hours. Look at birds, old paper, hearts and stars, shoot out, tiny text, initials sparkles, it’s awesome.
So I'm just going to pick one here and something that that will stand out—I want to just as sparkle that’s pretty cool. So I'm going to click on the sparkle brush it’s going to take to their page and, you know, slice in and all that. You can download it by selecting download over here, you just download, and you get your little pop up and save file and you want to save it to your desktop or any other location.
Okay and now that we have our sparkles brush downloaded I think its at my desktop, yeah it is, it’s right there. Now that it’s downloaded we can comeback to Photoshop and to open up the brush I'm just going to create a new document real quick, 850 x 850 is pretty good and then I'm going to come over here to the brush tool, I'm going to click on the brush, pull down the menu, you know where you can change diameter and stuff because I'm going to come over here and click this little arrow and as you can see here all the different brushes that you either downloaded or came with Photoshop. And now that we want to import some brushes we’re going to come over here and click a load brushes.
Once you click that it navigates to your desktop and finds your sparkles brush and click load. Once you’ve loaded that then head on down to the very bottom of your brushes and you'll find this sparkles brush bristles at the very bottom. So I believe this is it. Just kind of—that’s okay.
Is there more? Anyway that brush was kind of sucky. Do I have enough time to get another one? I'm going to get another one real quick just to let you know you found in your head how to do this, okay. Last stop 24 hours let see what this people. Put on your—oh, hair brushes. I got to get that. You can get clogs, look at that.
Maybe in the last—I want to find something like awesome. Look at this. We’re going to try out this. We’re going to download them real quick. Oh, it comes up with a little pop up thing. Download, save file, click ok, there my desktop and now I'm going to go to Photoshop, go to the brush tool, down the arrow, load the brushes and Photoshop brushes, load and here it is. I want to try this one.
So I'm going to undo everything I did and I'm going to choose a light blue. Let see if this works good. It looks pretty cool. What else is there? Yeah, look at that. Anyway, now I'm sure you get the idea of how to import and load your Photoshop brushes. There's other websites you don’t just have to use this one just Google Photoshop brushes and I'm sure there is a lot of different websites with much cooler and awesome brushes but I could stay here all day and see all of them.
But anyway I hope this tutorial helped.
