How to Halve Your Single Stitch Count
Okay I receive the question for one of my dearest today and she is asking on how you actually put two SC together. So two Single Stitches together. Now I don’t know whether she is increasing or decreasing I just did a whole tutorial on how to increase if you wanted to do so, so now it’s up to me to decrease and by decreasing we’re going to take this piece of material and make it only half.
So, let’s single crochet because she’s asking us to single crochet and you can do the same concept if you double crocheting, so let’s go back across our line so we’re going to just one and going to the first chain put through and two, so that was how you single crochet. So now what we’re doing is it says to decrease and two stitches together so we’re going to make this two stitches into one and how we do so is we stick our needle in grabbing our material pulling through and hold.
Now going to the next stitch available grabbing the material and hold and now you’ll have three and now you pull through all one. So now on the topline you’ve got two stitches here, right one from either or but the top one only will have one chain so you just successfully decrease. So let’s do it again. So point through and hold going to the next one and hold and put it through so let’s do it again.
So pull through, next stitch pull through and you got three and you can decrease more if you wanted to but you really get the pulling effect and I just want to show you how that’s done and now if you look at it you’ve successfully decreased by half by doing what we just did. So that is decreasing and you are making two stitches into one.
