Welcome to growingwisdom.com and today we are going to talk about one of my favorite summer blooming trees and you might think, wait a second, summer tree blooming, that does not sound right but there is one tree, there is a few out there but one of my favorite is this Stewartia and just a wonderful blooming tree and look at this flowers, white, barely big, this is about three to four inches across, this will start flowering sometime mid June and continue right through the middle of July. The trees get to be anywhere from about to 20 to 30 feet tall.
Now, if you want one of these trees, where do you put it? Well you want to put it somewhere where you get quite a bit of sun to part sun but you do not wanted to full sun with a lot of dry condition, they do not like dry conditions, the flowers will tend not to be as for fuse and the least lost of tan to get burn a little bit so if you do put it on a full sun, be sure that you are watering this or have add quick water for this particular tree.
Now, these several varieties out a bit, the one we are looking at is Pseudocamilia which is actually mean false Camilia and it kind of does look like a Camilia flower and that is why it is called false Camilia. Looking what we have got under one of this Stewartia, this wonderful lays cup Hydrangea, this great blue and it just a contrast, it is fantastic. The other great thing about this Stewartia is the bark, it is just fantastic bark and the bark has a sort molted look it, it almost looks like someone painted the bark on their, you have got this wonderful colors of almost blues and grays and browns and it is just fantastic so we will give you a great winter interest as well so Stewartia tree is something I highly recommend if you got the space for it, it is a great addition to any garden.
