You trim some of the hair out from underneath the pad just a tiny little bit jus to make the dog look upon its toes. It also helps if your dogs have plenty of road work. It will be upon his toes and not down on his pistons. Some dogs have too much hair on the inside of their legs.
It's going to look bad when they’re coming and going from the judge so unless you’re not to rigorous and go in with the thinning scissors and just take the line out. If you want access just turn him around so you can have a look with just some of this hair that’s in there that’s in the way. And this will take the line out and make the foot and the leg a lot more streamlined.
When we look at the feet you can see the difference on the one that has been trimmed and the one that hasn’t. I’m doing the top of the foot. I need to brush the fur up and again shape it. Again, using the thinning scissors across the top as we’re saying before when we have the puppy, this is the time to actually train your dogs to get used to things like this. So it's not such an issue so here you have one nice leg and one dirty leg.
