Hi my name is Chuck Morgan, and welcome today’s video sales tip. You know in order to be a top producer in sales, it’s not enough knowing what to do, you need to get more motivated and excited enough to get thing started. Here’s seven keys step to get motivated and get things done right now.
Number one, you need to get serious. You need to make a decision today to be a top producer. Stop talking about it, stop thinking about it. Thought is just an action that is in rehearsal. Personal action is your pass to success.
Number two, identify your limiting skill. What is the number one skill, the one attribute that you need to improve upon to get better. Maybe it is the phone, maybe it is your product knowledge, maybe it is your presentation skills or your people skills. Take the time to identify your limiting skill that maybe holding you back.
Number three, you need to get around with the right people. Who are they? Those people who are already successful, positive people. People with goals, people with objectives, people with a vision for a better life. There are two kinds of relationships, nurturing and toxic. There are life givers and lives takers, avoid those people that constantly criticize, condemn, and complain.
Number four, you need to take great care of your health, in order to have high energy levels on the regular and consistent basis, you need to eat right, you need exercise and you need to get the proper amount rest. You got to take care of your physical body; it is the only place that you have to live.
Number 5, you need to use positive visualizations. You need to see yourself in making the income that you desire, see yourself driving the car, living in the house and have a bank account that higher income can get for you. You have to see things as you would have them be, not as they are. And make sure that you visualized what you really want. And that not what somebody else wants for you.
Number 6, you need to use positive self-talk. You need to control your inner dialogue. You know what I am talking about, it’s those negative things that you and I say to our selves when we are not being distracted by something else and we are alone. You need to turn it to positive self-talk—“I’m the best, I love this business, I am going to be a top producer.” You know maybe you tell yourself right now, “Chuck, I just do not believe that. I just don’t feel that yet.” Do not worry about it. You are not lying to yourself, just telling yourself the truth in advance. You see, it doesn’t matter where you came from, and it does not matter really where you are today. What does matter is where you are going. So you may have gotten where you are today by accident, but where you going now is by design and on purpose.
And number 7, you need to take positive action. You need to get busy, you need to get going, you need to move fast. You need to develop the sense of urgency. You see, developing is sense of urgency in sales. It’s going to separate you from most everyone else in the business. Vision without an action is just a dream. Action without the vision is simply passing the time. Action with vision is making a positive difference. You need to get a good idea and you need to take positive action. Why? Well, it is called a success cycle. You know, positive action and the right direction is going to get you positive results. Positives results make you feel better, when you feel better, you tap more of your potential. When you tap more of your potential, you take better quality action, you get better results and you will be unstoppable.
