Today’s subject is about different colors for the same room, wall color ideas for a baby’s nursery. We completed a makeover for this baby’s bedroom. So just the family decided to look at what we could have done by changing the paint colors of the walls as well and the results were staggering. The appearance of the room is transformed again and again. Take a look at the wall color ideas.
For the original makeover, new drapes, a mirror, bed coverings and pictures have been added to the room. Now if change the color of the walls, the nursery takes on a whole new look. A blue green made a difference. Not the standard color you would expect for a baby’s room but provides a wonderful sense of calmness from viewing it. The same blue as the curtains makes the room look smaller and still provide the stunning contrast to the white of the cot, the drawers, and window.
Orange indefinitely different, the room now takes on a life of its own. It provides a warm and sunny feeling but most of all, it looks fun. Clear apple green, crisp and fresh now we just wait, this looks great. As it picks up the small pieces of green in the drapes, it provides a wonderful backdrop for the white furniture and trim and it really makes the room look alive, while still a evoking a sense of peacefulness. Light tan, settle but still creating contrast with the furniture. This natural color enhances the warm of the dark timber mirror frame and the picture frames, a mellow scheme suitable for boys or girls.
And now it is a modern baby girls room, hot, pink and looking very trendy. The inclusion of some lime green cushions of cot quilt could complete the scheme. I have nicknamed this look as the jellybean room. It is dusky pink, soft and delicate evoking a sense of calm. The use of this color leaves the finish of the talking. Popular purple, this is the setting of the room up for the future spiritual theme. The depth of color is probably a little – for a baby’s room. Perhaps it was more lilac promoting calm and would work better as it would not appear so intimidating. The navy fair blue and yellow scheme is a great selection for a boy or a girl and useful if you want to decorate prior to the baby’s arrival. Bright and cherry, the yellow creates a warm yet still airy feeling. So now you can see how different and dramatically that you can change a small space quite simply with introducing different wall colors.
