Start with your paper color upside down and fold diagonally both ways. Now open it up again and fold the top corner down to the middle so it hits that middle point. Now flip it over onto the color side and fold the bottom corner up a tiny bit, like that. Flip it back and fold it along the line you creased down here. And now I’m going to make the ears of the cat by folding that down to the line up against the middle and creasing it. And then the other side, you crease it and then you take each part and fold it up to make the ears. It should look like this. Turn the top corner down to form the shape of the head and crease it and then flip it over and lastly, just turn that little corner down to make the nose. Now I’m going to stick two googly eyes on with some glue. And draw a little mouth on with a pen and there you go, you have your pet’s head.
If you want to add a body to your cat, you turn over another piece of paper and draw one diagonal and crease. Now open the top and fold each corner into the middle. So you should fold it in half to make half a kite and then fold the tail downwards. Now fold the tail upwards and so that the head will balance, fold it down. Now flip it over and slide the head on like this and there you go, an origami cat.
Start with your paper faced down and fold it in half like this. Now open the top and cut along the crease that you’ve made. Now take one half and crease it down the middle. Open it out and fold each side into the middle again. Now fold each side into the middle again, this is a bit fiddly so take your time. Put some glue along one side and then glue it together and hold that down so it sticks. Now take the other half of the paper and crease it about a centimeter in and then unfold it. Now, cut lots of those little slits like this stopping at the crease so you fold it in. now glue all the way along the edge where you haven’t cut. Now take the stick that we’ve made earlier and position it just from the edge and hold it. Now fold the fringe around the stick until you have a broomstick that should look a bit like this. Happy Halloween.
