Hello! My name is Valerie Lucas. I am with Coup de Foudre Lingerie and today we are discussing how to find a perfect fitting bra. We are going to discuss right now how to actually evaluate how your bra fit. And there are four different scenarios or four different factors affecting fit. The first one is the band then you have a cup, then the straps and how it looks underneath your cloths.
Now, I am going to show you how to evaluate how you band fit. As you can see on the model here, the band is really riding up in the back. It's a very loose and the band again is riding up in her back. If you this happening, it's actually time to take you down to a smaller band size, because your band needs to be sitting down a lot lower and parallel to the floor, okay. So again when you see this looseness happening in the band, it's time to change your bra size and definitely your band size.
Now, let me show you a different scenario. In this case, the band of the bra is actually too tight as you can see here; it's actually cutting into her skin. See right there, this doesn't look good, especially if you are wearing a very fitted shirt, this will show underneath your shirt. So it's very important you have the right band size. Keep in mind that 80% of the support of the bra comes from the band, so it's really key to have this measurement right. Now, I am going to show you how to evaluate how you cup fit.
As you can see on the model here, she is actually -- the cups are actually wrinkling, not a good look, don't you agree? It's time to actually take her down to a smaller cup size. In this scenario, as you can see, on the model, she is totally busting out of her bra here in the cup. She is totally coming out, not a good look. Also you want to make sure that the underwire here on the side is not poking you in. Obviously, it is poking her right there, which means that she is actually not wearing the right cup size. So we are going to take her a cup size up.
In this scenario, we are going to show you that this particular part of your bra needs to lay flat against your breast bone. If you can insert a finger underneath it, it means it doesn't fit. It means that you need to increase the cup size to achieve the proper fit. As you can see, on the model, we have achieved perfection here. This part of the bra lays flat against her breast bone, beautiful! Look also the underwire there. It's not pinching her hand on the side. Her breast is in the cup; this looks beautiful.
Now, let me show you her back as well. The back lies perfectly flat against her back. It's also not riding up, and the straps are well positioned. We will make sure that they are not too tight on each side. She looks perfect in this bra. And now, we are actually going to be discussing, how to evaluate how your bra fit underneath your cloths, which is the last step.
