How to Edge and String-Trim a Lawn
Male: It’s another DIY Network Yard Crashers quick tip.
Ahmed Hassan: If freshly mode lawn is the cake and have it nice on that lawn kind of like to frost. Right now I’m going to show you some tips and some techniques in creating a nice edge for your lawn.
Now is a great tool especially if you got a long area you need to edge but the blade is limited to one side. You got a lot 0:20 with this piece of equipment also because, one it’s a power tool. We’ve got wheels, we’ve got build driven, we’ve got leverage here so that we can set that blade higher or lower.
As for edging technique, the goal is to get a nice vertical line that reaches from the tallest plate of grass down to about any below the concrete. You won't get a perfect on a single pass so it helps to make a few passes until you get a nice clean look. Finally, try to avoid contact in the concrete with the blade and watch out for sprinkle heads and hidden pipes.
Now good thing is that the grass is going to keep on growing back and you get to keep on trying it again.
